We build custom IOT Platforms

    Service providers and OEMs
At PhaseFour, we develop custom IoT platforms for service providers across various application areas and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs, manufacturing industry). The latter mainly within the following sectors:
    • Machine construction
    • Appliance construction
    • Electromechanics
    • Lighting technology
    • Sensor solutions
    Application areas
Our IoT platforms are used for a wide range of applications, including:
    • Device management
    • Construction, building management, and infrastructure
    • Industrial applications (IIoT – Industrial Internet of Things)
    • Transport (e.g., roads, signaling, means of transport)
    Type of connectivity
The nature of the internet connection between the platform and “the things” varies by situation. Possible forms of connectivity include:
    • Wired connections
    • Wireless connections such as 2G-5G, Wifi, LoRa, Sigfox, NB-IoT, Zigbee, Bluetooth or ... where the role of a telecom provider may be active, passive, or not applicable.
    • 'No connection'
In some cases, there is no digital connection in the traditional sense. Example: A 20-year-old water meter has no built-in connectivity, but if a resident reads the display once a year via an app, a temporary yet valuable connection is created. This also applies to: packages in transit, scanned license plates, a restaurant table, etc.
    Broad applications, diverse business models
The applications are thus broad and diverse, with highly varied business models. The common thread in all our projects is delivering a custom-made IoT platform, perfectly tailored to the customer's requirements and the context in which it is used. Our latest project concerns Smartconnect for Fri-Jado, a platform for monitoring and controlling ovens worldwide. Feel free to contact us for more information about our projects.

    Microsoft Azure

IoT APPS develops custom IoT platforms based on Microsoft Azure, as well as standalone cloud applications. We have selected Azure as our primary platform primarily because it aligns well with the practices and infrastructure of our customers. We have specific expertise with Azure IoT Hub, which we leverage in some—but not all—of our Azure-based IoT projects. In addition to Azure, we also use Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for applications where they are a better fit for the technical or business requirements.

IOT APPS is an initiative of PhaseFour from Eindhoven. All IOT APPS activities are carried out by PhaseFour employees.
