    Fri-Jado SmartConnect IoT solution

    Phasefour/IoT apps Eindhoven handled the implementation of our online IoT platform, Fri-Jado SmartConnect. SmartConnect provides fleet management for connected rotisserie ovens belonging to major food retail customers worldwide. Particularly in the USA and Australia, where travel distances are considerable, the large chains see significant potential for savings on service costs through remote insight and greater predictability. Repairing and carrying out maintenance “right the first time” is the key factor in this. Significant savings have already been achieved for various customers through OTA updates of firmware and recipes on the ovens. Our users in Italy are focused on monitoring operations in the stores and the differences between them. For us as a manufacturer, being able to monitor the behavior of the ovens in the field online, as well as the practical behavior of operators, has already proven to be very valuable. Thousands of ovens are now connected to our platform.

    IOT APPS develops IoT cloud applications based on Microsoft Azure, often in the form of an IoT platform but sometimes also as standalone cloud applications. We have chosen Azure as our primary platform, mainly because of the connection it provides to our customers' practical needs. We have specific experience with Azure IoT Hub, which we use for some, but not all, Azure IoT projects. In addition to Azure, we also use Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services for specific applications.

    IOT APPS is an initiative of PhaseFour from Eindhoven. All IOT APPS activities are carried out by PhaseFour employees.
