IOT applications fit perfectly with Cloud Services. Scalability, reliability, security and cost efficiency of Cloud Services are generally decisive. And Microsoft Azure is an often chosen Cloud Service, not always the cheapest, but with a great reputation, and the most used Cloud service in European SMEs. In order to take advantage of the benefits of the Cloud, it is important to set up things based on a Cloud architecture approach that clearly deviates from migrating traditional concepts. It is also wise not to blindly follow what Microsoft Azure evangelists present as obvious. For example, Microsoft BI is great for certain applications, but a custom web-based Dashboard is often a better option. The key point is to try to keep it simple and only use what you really need. Simple is often cheaper and, importantly, the best basis for remaining decisive.
IOT APPS develops IOT cloud applications based on Microsoft Azure, often as part of an IOT platform but sometimes also as 'stand-alone' cloud applications. We chose Azure as the primary platform mainly because of the connection it provides with the practices of our customers. We have specific experience with Azure IOT hub that we use for some but not all Azure IOT projects. In addition to Azure, we also use Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services for specific applications.
Low costs and scalability are an essential condition for many IOT concepts. That is why we consider not only performance, but also scalability and costs as an integral part of the development process of our custom cloud solutions. With the right storage choices, many gains can often be made compared to more traditional solutions with SQL databases. , especially with large data volumes. But that of course applies to more choices in the Cloud development process. Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your case
